I will declare Your name to my brethren; in the midst of the congregation will I praise You. — Psalm 22:22
Brothers and Sisters,
In this week’s newsletter, I want to express just how good it is to be back in worship with you and to share a bit of detail about where I am in my process of recovery from surgery. It was truly delightful to be back with you this past Sunday, to hear God’s Word and to gather around his table with you. As I said on Sunday, I love and appreciate you all, and it’s a great privilege to be your pastor. Being with you again was a wonderful reminder of the joy of our partnership in the gospel.
At this point, while I’m cleared to lead worship and to bear weight, I still have quite a bit of healing to do. I start physical therapy within the next couple of weeks. I’ll still be unable to drive or walk without the support of a walking boot for several more weeks, and my endurance on the affected foot will remain limited until I spend some time in physical therapy. For the time being, I’m unable to be present for regular office hours, or to lead Bible study, but my plan is to return to doing both as soon as I’m able to do so. While I’m unable to be present for office hours, please don’t hesitate to call me with any pastoral concerns.
Thank you for your patience with me as I recover. Your love, support, and prayers have greatly blessed me and contributed to my healing.
In Christ,
Fr. Caleb
