Brothers and Sisters,
This coming Sunday, June 7, in adult Sunday school, we’ll begin a weekly study of the Epistle to the Ephesians. Ephesians has always held a special place in my heart; it delves deeply into doctrinal truth without neglecting practical application.
In terms of the book’s themes, it highlights the glory of the gospel, explains God’s wonderful purposes for us and his creation, and talks about how we should live in light of those realities. As with our Philippians study, I will give special attention to what our text means for our own lives and for our life together as a church family.
Ephesians is a deeply theological book, but it isn’t teaching abstractions. The beautiful truths there can transform our hearts and our lives and renew our shared commitment to participating in God’s mission in the world.
As I mentioned during announcements this past Sunday, I haven’t yet had the privilege of sitting down to Bible study with all of you. This coming Sunday is a great time to jump in as we begin a new study. As always, we’ll meet in the library on Sunday mornings at 10:15 a.m. I really hope to see you there.
In Christ,
Fr. Caleb
